The tomb of Talaat Pasha, one of the main perpetrators of the Armenian Genocide, in the Monument of Liberty (Abide-i-Hürriyet). After fleeing the Ottoman Empire, he was sentenced to death by a Turkish Court in 1919, and then assassinated in Berlin in 1921 by Sogomon Tehlirian, a survivor of the genocide. Adolf Hitler gave his remains back to Turkey in 1943.
