Tafadzwa Christmas holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours (LLBs) from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (Geneva Academy). He was admitted as a legal practitioner in Zimbabwe in 2010 and worked for the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum until 2017, where he developed vast experience in public interest litigation, human rights advocacy, transitional justice, access to justice, anti-torture and anti-death penalty projects. He has also worked as part of the Southern African focal point of the African Court Coalition to raise awareness and train government officials and members of civil society on the African human rights system.

He is currently a teaching assistant for the Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law at the Geneva Academy. As an associate doctoral researcher in this project, he prepares his doctoral thesis under the co-supervision of Prof. Maya Hertig and Sévane Garibian. His work focuses on the right to truth in the African human rights protection system.
