Marion Vironda Dubray holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Law Faculty of the University of Aix-en-Provence, and a Master (LLM) in "Globalisation and Law”, with a specialisation in Human Rights, from the Law Faculty of Maastricht University. She later explored her interest in International Law, and International Criminal Law in particular, through the Master of advanced studies in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights. As part of her Master, she conducted an internship with the Legal Adviser of Pablo de Greiff, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the promotion of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Guarantees of Non-recurrence, in Geneva (2013). She then worked as a legal adviser for the French Ministry of Defense in Paris (2013-2016).

She joined this research project in October 2016 and prepared her doctoral thesis on the concept of mass crimes impunity under international law, supervised by Prof. Sévane Garibian. During the academic year 2019-2020, she benefited from a supplementary mobility grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation for a one-year research stay at the School of Law of New York University, where she has been accepted as part of the JSD program. During the academic year 2018-2019 and since January 2021, she has worked as a teaching assistant in the Criminal Law Department of the University of Geneva and assisted Sévane Garibian in her course titled "International Criminal Law, International Crimes and Transitional Justice".

In January 2021, Marion Vironda Dubray was promoted to the role of scientific researcher I as part of this research project.
